Most of the ASE partners were actively involved in creating/planning, establishing, and since 2002 operating the ATLANTA DITC. In so doing, the ATLANTA DITC
benefited from ASE's established network of people and institutions, and most importantly a successful track record of 15 years of consultancies in
Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
July 1, 2007, the ATLANTA DITC became a USOC designated Olympic training site for US Team Handball. In July and August 2007, the ATLANTA DITC won respectively the bids to host in Atlanta the 2008 Pan American Team Handball Championships, and the 2009 Modern Pentathlon World Cup. The Pan American Sports Organization (PASO/42 National Olympic Committees of the Americas) and USOC selected the ATLANTA DITC to host in May 2008 a Beijing Training Camp for 50 athletes/coaches preparing for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. From 2002 to 2010, 1855 athletes from 34 nations trained and competed with the ATLANTA DITC. ATLANTA DITC trained athletes competed and won medals at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
The ATLANTA DITC is recognized world-wide, and has gained a unique position within the Olympic and Olympians circles, as well as with International and National Sports Federations.
